Control panel of the manual hiding

Hide
Hides window or window's component, which are chosen in a window and windows' components list.

Show
Makes visible a window or a window's component, which are chosen in a window and windows' components list.

Attention: because of the OS Windows internal architecture it is impossible to make visible a window's component which is located lower in a hierarchy than another invisible component. This is why it is impossible to make visible a button located on an invisible window.

Refresh
Windows hierarchy list and tree are updated.

Filter
Switches visibility of windows and windows' components and a list and hierarchy tree.

Can be one of the three types:

  • Visible Windows
Visible windows and windows' components. This type of filter is well suited for the search of visible windows and windows' components.

  • Hidden Windows
Hidden windows and windows' components. This filter is well suited for the search of various system and program windows that are usually hidden from the user (different types of spy-programs and trojans).

  • All Windows
All windows available in the system, visible and invisible.

Mode
Sets up one of the two manual hiding modes:

  • Top-level Windows - only top-level windows are available in this mode (the ones which are located on the desktop).
  • Window controls' hierarchy - all windows and windows' components are available in this mode, you can keep track on all of the members of the hierarchy list.
